What is Community and Social Support?
Maintaining your access to your local community is essential in remaining independent and living a fulfilling life. Community and Social Support is a funded support under the Core Supports category in your NDIS plan, and is designed to help you achieve specific outcomes based on your own personal goals.
It involves a holistic approach with specific strategies and plans to allow you to participate in social and recreational activities, religious gatherings as well as more common daily errands.
