What is Psychosocial Support?

A Psychosocial Disability is when someone experiences barriers and roadblocks that prevent them from living a fulfilling life, due to these mental resistances.  Psychosocial Supports are non-therapeutic interventions that can assist NDIS participants manage and overcome these mental health barriers.

 

This service aims to help participants become a more active part in their community, manage daily tasks, undertake work or study, and ultimately maintain connections with friends and family. 

 

Psychosocial Supports are provided in ways that are relevant to the participant, and focus on specific and pre-determined goals and outcomes.

What is the NDIS and am I eligible?
